There’s something in the air

Yes, indeed! There is something in the air. It is the voice of disappointment from Apple hardcore fans. Many expect a lot from this year Macworld Expo 2008. But, Steve Jobs couldn’t wave any magic wand IMHO.
Many are hoping that Apple would give them at least update for their Macbook Pro. But, they have got the terrible voice of Randy Newman.
Apple, at last, announced MacBook Air. Something that was hinted by Apple teaser banner, "There’s something in the air".
What is MacBook Air?
Steve introduced MacBook Air by saying "Today we’re introducing a third kind of notebook, and it’s called the MacBook Air. In a sentence, it’s the world’s thinnest notebook." Not sure how he’s defining thinnest, (MacBook Air is not thinnest notebook ever) but, hey, it’s his keynote.
These $1,799 laptops are not for the general audience. Even though some people don’t care about the optical drive but the lack of Ethernet, cellular connections, FireWire and no expansion slot really pissed hardcore fans.
Anyway, we’ll have to wait and see whether Apple continue to rock on market shares with invention of MacBook Air or it will soon kick ass the early adopters like it did for iPhones. Only time will tell.
